Niña & Pinta Replica Ships at Guntersville City Harbor

The hand-built, historically accurate replicas of Columbus’s Niña and Pinta ships are docked at Guntersville City Harbor, transforming the waterfront into a floating museum through October 19th. If you have kids fascinated by ships, explorers, or just want to give them a sense of the adventure behind world-changing voyages, this event is for you.
Tours run every Saturday and Sunday, and you don’t need to book in advance for a self-guided walk aboard. Your family can roam the decks, learn how the Caravel—a versatile Portuguese ship—was once considered the “Space Shuttle of the 15th Century,” and see what life would have been like during those early expeditions.
Event Highlights:
- When: Saturdays & Sundays, 11:00 AM–5:00 PM (through October 19, 2025)
- Where: Guntersville City Harbor, 39 Paddle Wheel Drive, Guntersville, AL 35976
- Cost: $8–$10 per person
- Experience: Board authentically recreated ships, hear from historians, and see living maritime history up close
- For more info & schedule: Niña & Pinta official site
It’s a bit of a drive, but totally worth it for a day packed with exploration, learning, and family connection. Guntersville is beautiful this time of year, and the kids will be dazzled by just how much adventure fits aboard these historic little ships!
