VBAS Astronomy Day 2025
Held at Monte Sano State Park by the Von Braun Astronomical Society, this event is tailor-made for families who want hands-on science and awe-inspiring space fun—all completely free.
During the day (1:00–5:00 PM), you’ll get to:
- Experience mini-planetarium shows that bring the stars a lot closer to home
- Tour telescopes and maybe even peek at what’s visible in the sky
- Learn all about meteor radar demos
After the sun sets, the fun continues with an evening session (7:30–9:00 PM):
- Enjoy a fascinating keynote speech by Rod Pyle, noted space author, journalist, and historian whose work spans everything from NASA publications to contributions for Star Trek visual effects
- Cap off the night with a full planetarium show led by the experts at VBAS
