Concert Prep
Volunteers of all ages are invited to Three Caves for Concert Prep, a community work day that helps set the stage for the Land Trust of North Alabama's annual Moon Dance celebration. Families looking for a meaningful way to give back will find this a welcoming introduction to conservation volunteering—no prior experience necessary, just a willingness to pitch in alongside neighbors and fellow nature lovers. The casual atmosphere makes it easy for parents and kids to work together while exploring the unique setting of this beloved outdoor venue. The event takes place Friday morning, September 18, starting at 9:00 a.m. at Three Caves, located at 901 Kennamer Drive Southeast. There's no cost to participate, though registration is required for each person attending (guardians can register on behalf of children, and everyone will need to sign a waiver). Plan to wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes suitable for outdoor work, and bring along bug spray, sunscreen, and plenty of water. This is an especially good fit for families with school-aged children who are ready to take on light physical tasks and learn about land stewardship. Kids will get a behind-the-scenes look at what goes into creating a community event while parents enjoy the satisfaction of contributing to a cause that protects Huntsville's natural spaces. If plans change, registered participants will receive email notification of any cancellations.
