Canopy | Volunteer
The Land Trust of North Alabama is looking for volunteers to help with CANOPY, a special event that blends art, nature, and conservation at Hickory Cove Nature Preserve. This isn't just about setting up chairs—volunteers get an insider's view of how the Land Trust creates these immersive experiences while supporting the organization's work protecting local landscapes. Families who enjoy nature and want to teach their children about community service will find this a meaningful way to contribute together. Volunteers can choose from three dates: the Exhibition Previews on October 15 and 17, or the main CANOPY event on October 18. All shifts take place at Hickory Cove Nature Preserve on Trailhead Main Street. The Land Trust welcomes volunteers of all ages, making this suitable for families with kids who want to work alongside their parents. You'll be helping create an unforgettable evening for guests while connecting with other Land Trust supporters who care about Huntsville's natural spaces. This is an ideal opportunity for families looking to volunteer together in a beautiful outdoor setting. Older children and teens especially may appreciate seeing the behind-the-scenes work that goes into conservation events, while younger kids can participate in age-appropriate tasks. It's a chance to give back while experiencing firsthand how community efforts protect the trails and preserves your family enjoys throughout the year.
