Lowe Mill Area Cleanup Day

Roll up your sleeves for a morning of community service at the Lowe Mill Area Cleanup Day, where families can pitch in together to keep this vibrant arts district beautiful. The Green Team welcomes volunteers of all ages and experience levels for a two-hour cleanup around Huntsville's beloved creative hub. It's a meaningful way to teach kids about environmental stewardship while showing them firsthand how small actions make a big difference in their community. The cleanup takes place Saturday, October 24 from 9:00 to 11:00 AM, with volunteers meeting at 2405 9th Avenue (near Lowe Mill ARTS & Entertainment on Seminole Drive SW). All cleanup supplies will be provided, so you just need to show up ready to help. The Green Team can be reached at 256-532-5326 if you have questions beforehand. This is an ideal volunteer opportunity for families with children of any age—even little ones can collect litter alongside parents. Dress in comfortable clothes you don't mind getting dirty, and bring water bottles to stay hydrated. Kids often take pride in seeing the tangible results of their work, making this a rewarding way to spend a Saturday morning while supporting Huntsville's #LitterFreeHSV initiative. The cleanup wraps up with plenty of time left in the day to grab lunch nearby or explore the studios and shops inside Lowe Mill itself.
