Mountain Top Makers Camp: June 22nd-26th 1pm-4pm
Middle schoolers with a creative streak will find plenty to love at Mountain Top Makers, a hands-on arts camp at Burritt on the Mountain. This week-long afternoon program invites students in grades 6-8 to explore traditional art forms that connect history with creativity. Campers will try fiber arts, pottery, paper crafts, and other maker activities inspired by how people in the past combined ingenuity with necessity. It's a perfect blend of learning new skills while getting inspired by Burritt's Historic Park setting. The camp runs June 22nd through 26th from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Burritt on the Mountain. Registration closes Tuesday, June 16th, and pricing details are available through Burritt's website. For families needing extra flexibility, extended day options are available: lunchtime extended day from noon to 1:00 p.m. costs $7, and afternoon extended day from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. is $10. If your child also registers for the morning Round Top Bushcraft & Survival camp (9:00 a.m. to noon), they can arrive as early as 7:30 a.m. for an additional $10. Campers should bring a lunch if signing up for the lunchtime extended day option. The combination of outdoor inspiration, guided instruction, and hands-on projects makes this camp especially appealing for kids who enjoy making things with their hands and learning about the stories behind traditional crafts.
