Artsy Tots! Paper Plate Ice Skating
Little ones can glide into the world of art this winter at the Huntsville Museum of Art's Artsy Tots program, where paper plate ice skating becomes the perfect introduction to creative expression. Designed specifically for toddlers ages 2-3, this monthly session combines storytelling, gallery exploration, and hands-on art activities that help young children develop color recognition, fine motor skills, and hand-eye coordination. The paper plate ice skating theme brings a playful winter twist to the museum experience, making art accessible and fun for the youngest visitors. The program meets on Friday morning with two session times available: 10-10:45 am and 11-11:45 am in the Stender Family Interactive Education Galleries. Registration costs $8 for museum members and $10 for non-members, covering one child and one parent. Families with multiple toddlers can add additional children for $4 each. Fees are non-refundable, though registrations can be transferred to another session if your plans change. The 45-minute format is perfectly paced for toddler attention spans, giving little ones enough time to engage without becoming overwhelmed. Since parents participate alongside their children, it's a wonderful opportunity to bond while discovering art together in a low-pressure, age-appropriate environment.
