Artsy Tots! Pie Slices
The Huntsville Museum of Art's Artsy Tots program welcomes the littlest artists for a gentle introduction to creative exploration. This November session focuses on pie slices — think colorful wedges, patterns, and shapes that spark imagination in ways perfectly suited to toddler attention spans. During the 45-minute class, two and three-year-olds will hear an art-themed story, engage in playful gallery activities designed just for them, and create their own take-home project. It's a lovely way to nurture early skills like color recognition and hand-eye coordination while building comfort in a museum setting. The program meets Friday, November 20th, with sessions at 10:00 am and 11:00 am in the Stender Family Interactive Education Galleries at the Huntsville Museum of Art. Pricing is $10 per child-parent pair for non-members or $8 for museum members, with additional siblings welcome for $4 each. Registration is required and fills quickly, though if your plans change, your spot can be transferred to another Artsy Tots session. Fees are non-refundable but flexible in that helpful way. Plan to stay for the full 45 minutes — the structured rhythm of story, movement, and making keeps toddlers engaged without overwhelming them. Parents participate alongside their children, making this as much about shared experience as art education. It's an especially good fit for families looking to establish museum-going as a regular part of their routine, starting when kids are young enough that "art" and "play" feel wonderfully indistinguishable.
