Face Painting with Anjuli
When your child wants to become a superhero, mythical creature, or favorite animal for an afternoon, face painting artist Anjuli Farrales can make it happen. At her Lowe Mill studio, kids can choose from dozens of designs — from Spider-Man masks to unicorn horns, puppy noses to tiger stripes — all painted with care by an experienced artist who knows how to keep young clients comfortable and excited. It's the kind of Saturday activity that turns into a treasured photo op and gives kids something special to show off for the rest of the day. Sessions take place on Saturday, November 7 at 1:00 PM at Art by Anjuli (Studio 2027) inside Lowe Mill Arts & Entertainment. Basic designs start at $7, with more elaborate options available for $10 or $15 depending on complexity and coverage. The experience works best for children ages 3-12, though families with kids of various ages are welcome to stop by. Since you're already at Lowe Mill, you can easily combine face painting with exploring the dozens of other artist studios, grabbing lunch at one of the on-site eateries, or letting kids burn off energy in the open hallways. If your child is new to face painting, arriving with a design idea in mind can help, though Anjuli has plenty of inspiration on hand. The paint washes off easily with soap and water, so there's no need to worry about next-day cleanup.
